John King – Founding Partner

John King

John brings his extensive experience as an entrepreneur, a top-1% telecommunications sales professional and a former senior marketing manager and product developer at Rossignol to his role as Founding Partner of TELigence Partners. John has over 12 years experience working in the telecommunications industry, during which time he has become regarded as a top sales professional, technical consultant and customer support expert. It was his interest in the telecommunications industry and exceeding clients’ expectations through superior customer service that led John to found TELigence Partners in 2006.

John‘s entrepreneurial nature and experience in product development, sales and marketing match well with his people skills and ability to understand client needs and shape them into logical solutions, creating one of the principal reasons for TELigence Partners’ success and why 90% of our new business is referred to us by existing clients.

Bob Davison – Consulting Partner

Bob Davison

Bob has been working in telecommunications since 1998. He has held senior sales and sales director positions with CTC Communications, Lightship Telecom and Nextel/Sprint. Bob oversaw the sales launch of Sprint’s Wireless network in Vermont and was instrumental in the build out of their network and customer base. In addition to his direct carrier work, Bob has worked as a sales agent for Verizon, Fairpoint, Earthlink, Comcast, Level 3, Cogent and many other carriers. Prior to telecommunications, Bob was a certified financial planner for American Express, so your bottom line is always on his mind! Bob has been an effective agent/consultant to many enterprise level businesses in northern New England including Fletcher Allen Health Care, McDonalds, Randolph National Bank and many others.

Lynne Witter – Consulting Partner


Lynne’s career in telecommunications began in 1986, representing local resellers to business organizations in the Boston area. Later, as a successful sales person for Sprint, ATT, and many startup telecom companies, her consistently high sales contributions led to leadership roles at Cable & Wireless and USN Communications. In her current position at TELigence Partners, she collaborates with all sizes of business to propose solutions that increase revenues, enhance productivity and assist organizations in gaining a competitive edge. Her focus is on the client and solving their immediate challenges while preparing the foundation for future requirements and industry developments.

Dan Brisson – Consulting Partner

Possessing a mix of experience in over 17 years of data networking in diverse vertical markets, Dan has designed, configured, and supported both small and large wired and wireless networks in enterprise, healthcare and higher education. He specializes in Cisco networking with advanced knowledge in routing, switching, wireless, and security. He has managed networks with over 1000 devices and built network management systems from the ground up that provide to-the-minute logging and alerting capabilities. Dan is skilled in data security compliance requirements for PCI and HIPAA and has logged many hours performing wireless site surveys and installations in healthcare, higher education, and outdoor venues. Dan is self-motivated and thrives on finding the right solution for any size networking project.

John “Tag” Carpenter – Director of Partner Relations


John “Tag” Carpenter has over 30 years of experience in business and sales. He has held management positions overseeing sales and customer relations in a variety of industries including senior positions in telecommunications at CellularOne, Unicel and Fairpoint Communications. Much of Tag’s career has included the management of internal and external sales teams, overseeing and managing customer support, as well as working directly with large national accounts and independent sales agents and strategic partners. As Director of Partner Relations at TELigence, Tag forges new partner relationships with carriers and agents alike and manages an ever growing sales team. Tag is a graduate of the University of Vermont where he majored in business.

Derrick Calkins – Director of Information Technology Services


Derrick graduated from Champlain College in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking and Support. He began his career working at the help desk level followed by work in network consulting, including service with Mach-One Computers, Symquest, Exterus Technology for Business and Hosted Business Server. Most recently, he founded an IT consulting firm, Calkins Networks LLC. Derrick is Fully Microsoft Certified and has been working in the industry for over a decade. He is dedicated to providing the top level of customer service and support to his clients.

Laura Bernstein – Director of Customer Support Operations


Laura Bernstein has been working in the telecommunications industry for more than 20 years, She is a graduate of Springfield College, and is a member of the 2010-11 Channel Partners Conference & Expo Advisory Board, the Woman in the Channel Board 2011-present, the TCA 2013 Board of Directors and the CompTia Telecom Advisory Board 2012-2014. Laura operates TELigence Partners Helpdesk in her position as President of CRA, a company based in Massachusetts, specializing in Telecom and IT helpdesk services delivered to Enterprise level businesses across the country. Her dedicated team of billing analysts, carrier support technicians, and technical staff provide support for billing and cost analysis audits as well as managing trouble tickets and installations. TELigence Partners has had a long-standing partnership with CRA, which provides our clients with professional support services.
